Junya Watanabe SS13 womenswear exclusively available online at LN-CC. A protegé of Rei Kawakubo, Junya Watanabe first joined Comme des Garçons as a pattern cutter in 1984, upon graduating from the Bunka Fashion College in Tokyo. Watanabe has been designing under his own name since 1992, though the collections are still produced under the Comme des Garçons title. In 1993 he moved his show from Tokyo to Paris, and in 2001 he launched his own menswear line. The Japanese designer is known for his often technically progressive pieces that bridge classic influences with highly innovative ideas. He is particularly renowned for his forward-thinking cutting techniques and fabric sourcing.
